Enough of dumb waste…it’s time to return to true principles

Think about how powerful and enduring are the last paragraph of Martin Luther King’s “I had a dream” speech, the Lord’s prayer, the Hippocratic Oath, the Beatitudes. They are short, yet transformational. What gives them their power to motivate and transform?

Ask most marketing and public relations folks and they won’t be able to tell you. Ask most business and political leaders and they won’t know either.

Every great leader in history has known and used the answer. Yet today so few even seem aware that not knowing it is dumbing down a whole generation’s ability to move hearts and minds.

The answer is as available as the mind is open. It’s time to throw out the failed dogmas and think again. Or at least just ask.
